About Dr. Amy Bandy

Dr. Amy T. Bandy is a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.  She is a member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, The California Society of Plastic Surgeons and she is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

            Dr. Bandy performed her General Surgery training at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California.  During this time she was trained extensively in trauma surgery and many aspects pertaining to reconstructive surgery including maxillofacial reconstruction, breast reconstruction and hand surgery.

            After her General Surgery training, she moved to Michigan where she completed her Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at Wayne State University.  During this time she experienced all facets of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery including intensive training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.  Dr. Bandy trained at Manhattan Eye Ear Nose and Throat Hospital in New York where she was instructed by many of the world’s most renowned cosmetic surgeons.  Here Dr. Bandy was trained in the most advanced techniques of facial plastic surgery including layered & SMAS  face lifts, endoscopic face and brow lifts, eyelid surgery, abdominoplasty and nasal beautification surgery.  Dr. Bandy also was trained in the most refined technique of tumescent liposculpture by a pioneer lipoplastic surgeon.  In addition, Dr. Bandy trained in Louisville, Kentucky, where she learned the intricate techniques of microsurgery and its applications in reconstructive surgery.

            Dr. Bandy currently lives in the South Bay and practices all aspects of Plastic Surgery in both her Torrance office in the South Bay, and her Newport Beach office in Orange County. Dr. Bandy’s specialties include breast surgery including augmentation, reduction, breast revision surgery and breast reconstruction.  She also specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face and neck, including nasal surgery for beautification or breathing difficulties, eyelid lifts, face and neck lifts, laser resurfacing.  She is a specialist in body sculpting through liposculpture including micro lipo, tumescent liposuction, ultrasonic liposuction and tummy tucks. She often combines breast and body surgery for a “mommy makeover” for women who have had children and are looking to regain their pre-pregnancy figure.
